Learning to Console Yourself.

Over the years there have been some really good games consoles. Unfortunately, they become outdated very quickly and all of your favourite games get taken away by the mists of time…

There were two old consoles I once owned which featured some absolutely cracking games. The first of these was the N64. Nintendo really did excel themselves with this bit of kit and it had a brilliant array of games. ‘Banjo Kazooie’, ‘Jet Force Gemini’, ‘Mario Kart’ and ‘Diddy Kong Racing’ all used to be great fun. Some people were not keen on the large and oddly shaped controller but I never found it to be a problem. It was a wonderful games console and there were so many colourful and cartoony games. And who can ever forget the sublime, ‘Goldeneye’? It still ranks as one of the best first person shooters ever made as far as I’m concerned.

The other games console that is sadly no more is Tapwave’s Zodiac. This was a handheld system that ran games from SD cards; it was also a video and MP3 player. I am not sure why it never took off because in many ways it was well ahead of the completion. I suppose it is all down to the way things are marketed.

The demise of the Zodiac meant the end of one of my favourite games ever, ‘Legacy’. This was the best role play game that I have seen. It wasn’t particularly complex or involved; the thing that made it such fun was the simplicity of the gameplay. I still miss that one very much and the thought of it brings a tear to my eye.

I suppose that we all have found memories of certain games. It is a shame that they have to go away to the great console in the sky.

I am so excited about this weekend everyone! It has been a seemingly endless amount of time since I’ve even thought about being on a canal boat, and it wasn’t even that expensive when we split the cost between us. Inspired idea Hilary, and I picked up those stainless bolts that you asked me to get!

The Power Of Do-Follow Blogs

You just have to love those do-follow blogs. You know, the blogs that give you link building credit for your comments. If you are not sure what this means, you might want to read up on SEO and backlinks. Basically, the more valuable links you can gain, the higher up in search engines your site will get. Posting comments to do-follow blogs is one way to build these valuable links. You want to do it the right way though. You cannot just go around and spam every blog out there. Instead, actually read the content in their blogs and make a informative comment that is relevant to their blog post. Now, do this consistently and you will have built yourself a nice stream of backlinks to your site. It’s a nice easy bit of advertising without having to use any of those annoying roller banners (see what I did there?)

Why So Many People Are Choosing To Telecommute

Telecommuting from home has become quite popular these days. There are so many options out there to work from home. Jobs such as data entry, writing, freelancing, customer service and home businesses exist for those individuals who are ready to make that big leap from the 9 to 5 rat race to the flexibility of working from the comfort of their own homes.

To find such jobs, all one has to do is become active in any work from home community such as message boards or forums. It’s in these places that you can get honest reviews of what is legitimate out there and what is not. You can also search work at home directories as well, however, beware that not all opportunities are legitimate. Be sure to do your research. Once you do find your perfect telecommute position, you can then enjoy the freedom that many people live when working from home. Just be aware that during this phase, you will incure higher costs of living at home. On the bright side you may make new friends with your central heating oil suppliers.

Enigin - is it a good idea?

So I’m talking to a company called Enigin about doing my energy saving audit. It seems like a really good idea, and they got a really good recomendation over on this site here: http://www.chasingdream.org/2009/06/08/enigin/ - enigin
The question is, is it worth the money? Am I really going to save much more than I spend? I mean, in the bigger picture it’s not that much really, I just wonder given the climate if now is the time to be doing this.
