Top Geeky style items

Geeks have created a new market. Just like the cosmetic market which contains all sorts of treatments including Dermatological surgery, there are so many fashion statements all created from the geek community. Although I’m not talking about the standard thick rimmed glasses and bow-ties, the whole geek thing has become pretty big now.

Eightyonedesign even surprised me, as a geek, with the style icons they had. I especially loved those cufflinks made of keyboard keys, now I can stop demolishing my old keyboards to make cufflinks as they sell them. There are at least eight different designs. I especially like the Mac ones as they remind us of a simpler time with regards to Apple, away from all the iPhone and iPad saga.

The graph paper napkins was also pretty clever, nifty at a dinner party. In the middle of a meal, if I wanted to show someone the latest theorem I wouldn’t have to get up and grab some paper, I’d just grab a pen from the old pocket protector, take a napkin and scribble to my heart’s content, and with the graph paper napkin, accurately.

To add a little bit of geek to your living room, put out some of their disk coasters, protect your table with authentic geek style, and make your guests comforable with the Ctrl Alt Del cushions, or even serve some drinks while entertaining using authentic Pantone Cups and saucers.

Eightyonedesign is a geek’s dream, add a bit of geek to your life with their great geek accessories.

Why you should buy a Sky+ HD box now!!!

So you’ve cleaned out that storage space, created a home theatre, and finally bought that new TV, HD ready, 1080p, and you think, that you are officially ready for the HD experience. WRONG! You still need some form of media to play HD in, be it a Blu-Ray, PS3 etc.

One of the best things to happen to HD has got to be, the new Sky+ HD box. You may just think it is a bog standard box with a couple of HD channels, but you could not be more wrong, it has lots of features which are changing the way we watch TV nowadays

A Sky+ HD allows you to control what you watch, when you want to. You can pause, rewind, slow down, and on playbacks, fast forward through those pesky adverts thanks to the hard drive on Sky+ HD. These features have been around for years with Sky+, but its worth reminding everyone who lacks Sky+ and Sky+ HD that it isn’t just buying HD channels, you are buying a new experience with TV.

Not only do you get to pause or rewind live TV, Sky+ HD allows you to watch one programme, while watching another (or two programmes together as long you are watching one of them), which is great so you can record that episode of EastEnders that clashes with the latest Premier League match, watching it later when there is nothing on. Again, a feature with Sky+, but something still loved by millions of Sky+ and Sky+ HD owners.

Now here’s something that will surprise you. Sky+ HD now doubles as a Sky 3D box. The latest TVs are 3D HD, and Sky have got with the times and already launched their own Sky 3D channel, it will only be a matter of time before other broadcasters follow suit. If you are planning to invest a large amount of money in a TV, buy a new 3D HD TV (Samsung have launched theirs, others will soon) and get a Sky+ HD box.

Sky+ HD combines previous favourites with new, modern features such as the ability to broadcast 3D. Even if Sky planned to produce a Sky+ 3D box, the Sky+ HD box is still very good, and will change the way you watch TV forever. Gone are the five channels, say hello to hundreds of channels and total control from you Sky+ HD remote.
