For the Love of punk!
AHHHH P-U-N-K! A bunch of us got into Punk Karaoke last night in Highbury . It's just your standard gig however the lead singer is you. You, yes you, can sing your favorite songs supported by a real punk band. It runs fortnightly, and is totally over subscribed.
They play two sets, including punk rock originals and new school song given a punk egde. Don't worry about forgetting the words, they have hidden a TV by the front of the stage with lyrics on. It's the most hard core night out in old london town.
On the flip side, the fly in the soup is everyone is soo dammmm G-O-O-D it's not the standard 3 guys and a lame dog having a sing song where any tom dick or harry could join in slaughter a rendition of some 'Boyzone' shit. Most the singers are staggering good some of them must actually sing in punk bands. You should have heard Dave doing 'The Libertines' and Simon singing 'Babylon's Burning'. Punk is NOT dead!
