Saddam Hussein on trial Baghdad
Saddam Hussein goes on trial in in IraqThe court case of former Iraqi leader S Hussein for crimes against humanity has opened in Iraq amid tight security. He and 7 associates are charged with ordering the killing of 143 Shia men in 1982 in Dujail.
His lawyer, Mr Dulaimi, damands that the case is illegitimate and he want for the case to be adjourned.
The court hearing - filmed by TV cameras - is being heard in a specially built courthouse in the heavily fortified Green Zone in Baghdad.
