Hello world!

Hello World :-)

This is my first post and I am sure that this will be read by at least 2 people (I have asked the other one to read it :-) . Emails, Chat, Google (I love you) – I embraced every other feature on the net but blogging…I mean, is anybody actually interested in what I have to say? So I kept dithering, dilly dallying and my inbox was flooded with invites from my friends, family, acquaintances, colleagues, classmates, neighbors to read their Blog (everyone blithely assuming that theirs is the ONE). Worse, a few have multiple blogs - my landlord is running 3 blogs, one for each of his pets and religiously informs planet Earth on what Tino, Pliney and Rambo are currently being fed, to the last ounce (with sidebars on vitamin supplements).

Then I chanced upon the latest Blogging Statistics from Pew Internet and American Life Project Report . It seems 27% of Internet users read blogs, and more than 12% actually comment on the entries. Wow – will people hang on to my every word? Will their daily cries of “I want my coffee/bathroom slippers/newspaper…” be replaced with “I want to my daily dose of wit, intelligence, greatness, sweetness, humor, reason for existence in good old Solar System from geekgirl.”

I started thinking (it is very tough but sometimes I actually manage it!!) What this means is now I can send my friends, family, acquaintances, colleagues, classmates, neighbors emails with the subject - read my rant of the day. I hope they won’t do what I do to most of their blog links – just move that mail to the trash can. Ok guys, to all the people whom I invite – here’s my solemn promise to include your feed into my browser.

Since I am the second most organized person on earth (god, i shall not compete with you), here’s my plan of action:

Task 1 – Make the post.
Task 2 – Mail everyone abt the blog.
Task 3 – Repeat Task 2.
